Day One

I woke up with a nasty sinus headache around 3 AM.  I've never had one before but now I have new sympathy for it's victims.  Josh stayed up with me for a few hours to keep me company.  It was strange when he left for work and I wasn't entirely sure what to do with myself.  Here is a snapshot of day one.

Kissed Josh goodbye as he left for work. Took a hot shower in an attempt to clear sinuses.  Started a bath because it seemed like a better idea. Remembered I hated baths and finished taking a shower. Thought about God. Ignored God. Unpacked some things. Decided to go buy medicine. Drove approximately 1 mile to Walgreens.  Felt quite proud of myself for navigating St. Louis with such expertise :P Bought sinus medicine & orange juice.  Talked to the checkout lady who was also sick & had purple hair.  Was completely elated to have had womanly contact (if only for 1.25 minutes) and decided to consider her my friend in my head. Don't know her name so will call her Purple Sinus Girl.  Drove home. Felt totally cool to unlock the door to our apartment. Remembered Josh asked that I leave note in mailbox for mailman. Wrote note complete with smiley face. Maybe mailperson will be my friend too. :P Put note in mailbox. Locked mitten in mailbox. Proceeded to pull and tug mitten out of mailbox. Laughed at myself. Thought about God. Listened to God. It was nice. Spent the rest of the morning unpacking and moving my things into my new home. Was surprised by Josh coming home at noon with lunch and plans to work at home the rest of the afternoon because of bad weather.  Was really glad to have him be here. Took a nap. Wok e up still feeling bad.  Held face over a pot of boiling water & globs of Vix.  Josh held my head and rubbed my back. I love him. Drank tea and enjoyed the rain. Started writing my blog.
